Day 1-Arrive in Virginia

Upon arrival, transfer on your own to our lovely hotel in Williamsburg. (meals on your own)

Day 2-Colonial Williamsburg

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out to Merchants Square for the festive Christmas Parade. Usher in the holiday season in Williamsburg with a variety of floats, bands, civic groups and more highlighted by our special guests, Santa & Mrs. Claus-all decked out depicting the Winter Wonderland theme! The Parade route is down Richmond Road beginning at Brooks Street and through Merchant's Square onto Henry Street, ending at the corner of Henry and Francis Streets. This evening, be enchanted with the millions of lights, sights, and sounds of Christmas Town at Busch Gardens. Experience how many countries celebrate Christmas and enjoy dinner and entertainment at the Fireside Feast. (D)

Day 3-Grand Illumination

Today Colonial Williamsburg's Holiday season officially begins with the Grand Illumination. This morning learn about the history of the city as your guide takes you for a walk through the historic settlement. Enjoy lunch on your own at one of the restaurants along High Street and explore the area on your own this afternoon. This evening is the spectacular illumination when the Revolutionary City lights up with fireworks, bonfires, and candles twinkling in the windows of buildings. Enjoy live music from the fifes and drums and other special activities that are sure to put you in the holiday spirit! You may want to join in one of the special Tavern Dinners or enjoy another of the varied dinner options. (B)

Day 4-Powhatan Indian Life-Old Chickahominy-Holiday Performance

After breakfast at your hotel we are off to historic Jamestown, the first permanent English colony settled in 1607. Your guide will share with you the stories of the settlers and explore the living history museum. Discover the Powhatan Indian way of life and see the kind of ships that brought colonists to Virginia. Stop for lunch on your own at the Old Chickahominy house that not only serves up great southern food but is a great three story antique and gift shop. This afternoon we return to the hotel for some leisure time and an evening of entertainment in the historic area.(B)

Day 5-Yorktown

Today enjoy breakfast then get acquainted with Yorktown. This town was critical in both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War and your guide will share the stories with you as you walk in the footsteps of our forefathers. At Yorktown Battlefield, part of the National Park Service's Colonial National Historical Park, you will see where George Washington secured America's Independence in 1781. Yorktown is known for both its waterfront charm and its famous battles. After learning the history you will visit historic Yorktown's Riverwalk Landing where you can stroll through the boutique shops and grab a delicious bite to eat on your own at one of the restaurants. Admire the town's 18th-century architecture-it may be hard to imagine that fierce fighting ever took place nearby. This afternoon and evening enjoy more of the numerous special holiday activities at your leisure in Colonial Williamsburg. (B)

Day 6-Yankee Candle Village

Today after breakfast you will learn that Yankee Candle is far more than just a candle store. Yankee Candle village is a special place where magic comes to life. While there, make your own wax holiday ornament and enjoy the fresh made fudge or do some shopping and enjoy the entertainment. Return to the hotel for some last minute shopping time around the settlement, then get ready for an entertaining, delicious farewell holiday dinner. (B, D)

Day 7-Virginia to Home

Today you leave this historic, beautiful place with the spirit of the holidays to take back home and share with your friends and family. Safe, sound and fully of happy memories. (B)
